Weekly Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases. The ideal candidate will have strong maternal-child nursing experience and be comfortable managing high-acuity laboring patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit. Monitor and interpret Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) strips. Administer and manage conscious sedation according to established protocols. Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and patient care coordination. Assess, triage, and admit patients while maintaining accurate documentation. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Respond effectively to maternal and neonatal emergencies. Maintain patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
Preferred:
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients. Strong fetal monitoring and maternal-child nursing background. Experience working in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Requirements:
Active New York State RN License. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or higher. Current AHA BLS Certification. Current
AHA ACLS
Certification. Current NRP Certification. Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience. Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience. Strong assessment and critical care skills. For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169 .
