  • 72/hr Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical/Surgical Unit in a fast-paced acute care environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, recent Med/Surg experience, and the ability to provide high-quality patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Provide direct bedside nursing care to medical and surgical patients. Administer medications safely and accurately. Monitor patient conditions and identify clinical changes promptly. Perform wound care, IV insertion, catheter management, and other nursing procedures. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and healthcare teams. Coordinate discharge planning and transitions of care. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery. Maintain accurate EMR documentation. Follow infection prevention, safety, and hospital policies. Requirements Active New York State RN License. BLS Certification (AHA). ACLS Certification (AHA). Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. BSN preferred. Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Recent Med/Surg experience within the last 12 months. Acute care hospital experience required. Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
