Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse
- Medical Surgical for an exciting Contract job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Provide direct bedside nursing care to medical and post-operative patients. Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses. Perform comprehensive physical assessments and document findings accurately. Insert and manage IV lines, urinary catheters, and other clinical interventions. Perform wound care and maintain infection prevention and control practices. Monitor vital signs, telemetry readings, and patient conditions. Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment as required. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Participate in discharge planning and patient transition activities. Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, procedures, and post-discharge care. Maintain accurate patient records, medical charts, and clinical documentation. Adhere to hospital policies, nursing standards, and evidence-based practices. Required Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited nursing program. Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License. Primary Source Verification through the New York State Education Department (NYSED). Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a large acute care hospital setting. Most recent Medical Surgical experience must be within the past year. Strong knowledge of Medical Surgical nursing practices and patient care standards. Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Telemetry monitoring experience. Experience with physical assessments, medication administration, and clinical documentation. Experience with wound care, infection control, IV therapy, and post-operative patient care. Preferred Qualifications Experience with
EPIC EMR.
