  • 4:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking an experienced RN Nurse Educator with a strong Cardiac Cath Lab background to support clinical education, staff development, and competency management within an acute care hospital setting.
The ideal candidate will combine advanced cardiovascular clinical expertise with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and professional development. Responsibilities Develop and deliver educational programs for Cardiac Cath Lab nursing staff. Train, mentor, and support nurses in cardiovascular and interventional procedures. Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for new staff members. Evaluate clinical competencies and performance standards. Conduct skills assessments and validation activities. Support continuing education and professional development initiatives. Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. Maintain educational records, competency documentation, and training reports. Required Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License. Master's Degree in Education. Recent Cardiac Cath Lab clinical experience. Acute Care Hospital experience. Strong clinical knowledge of invasive cardiology procedures and patient care. Preferred Qualifications Previous Nurse Educator experience. Experience developing competency-based education programs. Knowledge of Joint Commission and regulatory requirements. Experience with adult learning principles and staff development programs. Professional certifications related to cardiovascular nursing or education.
