- 4:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Educator to support Women's & Children's Services.
This role is responsible for advancing clinical competency, staff development, evidence-based practice, and quality outcomes across Labor & Delivery, NICU, Pediatrics, and Postpartum services. The ideal candidate will possess strong maternal-child health experience, exceptional educational skills, and a passion for developing nursing excellence. Responsibilities Provide clinical education and ongoing support for Labor & Delivery, NICU, Pediatrics, and Postpartum departments. Design, develop, and implement competency-based educational programs. Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for new nursing staff. Conduct annual competencies, skills validation, and clinical assessments. Promote evidence-based practice and adherence to clinical standards. Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and performance improvement opportunities. Develop educational materials, training modules, and learning resources. Monitor educational outcomes and staff competency metrics. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements. Required Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License. Master's Degree in Education. Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience. Strong clinical teaching, leadership, and communication skills. Experience developing educational programs and competency assessments. Preferred Qualifications NICU experience. Maternal Child Health experience. Previous Nurse Educator experience. Experience with quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
