Job Description

Schedule/Hours:
12-hour night shifts Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Essential Qualifications:
Current RN license, either for Ohio or through compact privileges Minimum one year of RN experience (two years and prior travel experience preferred) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided) Navy blue scrubs required Vent experience preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform thorough initial and ongoing assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams Float between progressive care (PCU) and medical/surgical-tele units, based on hospital needs (spending majority of time on MS/Tele) Administer medications per established policies and uphold top patient safety standards Serve as a liaison for patients, families, and care teams Respond rapidly and confidently to changes in patient condition using evidence-based judgment Advance safe discharge planning, patient education, and documentation Promote a compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
