Pediatric Associates of Dayton is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare for infants, children, and adolescents in the Dayton area with office locations in Beavercreek, Englewood, and Centerville.
Job Summary:
The Lead Pediatric Nurse,RN
  • position for Pediatric Associates of Dayton (PAD) directly supervises the nursing personnel at the Beavercreek, OH practice location.
In this role you will collaborate with the Lead Pediatric Nurses from the other two practice locations (Beavercreek and Kettering) to establish nursing schedules that ensure adequate coverage at each location, throughout the week, including Saturday rotations and floating staff. You will be expected to provide quality patient care on the floor and through telephone triage, and to perform other tasks as assigned by the Practice Manager and Assistant Practice Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote the practice's brand in a positive manner with clients and community Manage and create schedules for the nursing staff, in coordination with the Lead Pediatric Nurses at the other locations. Model and foster a positive and team-centered work culture; Guide staff to success through focused support and coaching Provide feedback to the Practice Manager for nurse evaluations/reviews Schedule and hold regular meetings with the nursing staff in Beavercreek Manage inclement weather call list for nursing staff. Approve timesheets for direct reports; Respond to requests for PTO from direct reports Cover shortage of floor or triage position, if necessary Support PAD's talent acquisition efforts by helping the Assistant Practice Manager with reviewing resumes and interviewing potential clinical staff Under guidance of the Practice Manager, conduct performance and development conversations for assigned staff, following proper documentation and escalation procedures for sensitive employee matters Coordinate and schedule CPR classes with Beavercreek nurses Act as the main point of contact for drug reps, arranging luncheons, etc. Set up and staff flu clinics Assist with ordering and monitoring vaccines; schedule staff assignments for monitoring the vaccine refrigerator temperature Collaborate with the Assistant Practice Manager to ensure 100% compliance of direct staff completing action items for benefit enrollment, compliance training, onboarding, offboarding, leaves, and other employee relations matters Medical Chart Documentation Other tasks as assigned
Other Requirements:
Maintain HIPAA compliance, patient privacy, environment of care safety Promote adherence to company policies and procedures Work well independently, and in a team environment Dependable and on-time Must be able to travel between the three practice locations (Beavercreek, Centerville and Englewood) as needed
Education, Experience and Abilities:
Active RN or LPN license 5+ years of nursing experience in a medical office or healthcare facility, previous leadership experience preferred CPR Certification (Current or within 6 months of hire) Ability to navigate and manage sensitive and confidential employee information Excellent judgment and decision-making skills and high ethical standards Demonstrated flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload; Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to communicate and articulate complex information clearly and simply Ability to work well in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment while maintaining a high quality of work Proficient in computerized systems including Microsoft Suite This job requires extensive sitting, walking, and answering a large volume of phone calls

  • must be able to go to the Centerville or practices as needed.
