Job Summary NEOhio Med Staffing is a local, nurse-led agency founded by an MSN, RN. We are currently building a high - caliber talent pool of STNAs for upcoming partnership opportunities in the Boardman, Youngstown, and Warren area. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care to diverse patient populations across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and community health environments. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring safety and comfort through memory care techniques Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety in all interactions Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and basic life support when trained and certified Document patient observations thoroughly in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings like ICU or trauma centers to deliver comprehensive patient service Requirements Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification or equivalent credential Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or assisted living communities is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic medical procedures such as vital signs measurement and medication administration Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs including dementia or developmental disabilities Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care Flexibility to work various shifts across inpatient, outpatient, or community-based settings Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or ICU experience are a plus Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care!
