Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications via various routes including injections, IV infusions, and catheter care while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Manage complex medical procedures such as suturing, tube feeding, ventilator management, and dialysis treatments with precision and confidence. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas like cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology, infectious disease care, and trauma medicine to develop and implement personalized care plans. Monitor patients' physiological responses during critical care situations in ICU or Level I/II trauma center environments; perform emergency interventions including airway management and acute pain management. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records ensuring compliance with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), MDS (Minimum Data Set), and other regulatory standards. Provide education on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities to promote long-term wellness. Skills Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation. Proficiency in specialized nursing procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, ostomy care, and sterile processing techniques. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation methods like sonography or laboratory testing. Critical care experience in ICU or trauma settings; familiarity with Level I/II trauma center protocols is highly desirable. Skilled in managing acute pain cases, infectious disease protocols, hospice & palliative medicine practices, and working within NCQA standards for quality healthcare delivery. Ability to perform triage efficiently in urgent care or emergency room environments; experience with pediatric (pediatrics), neonatal ventilator management or neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is a plus. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment discussions; capable of working with children and elderly populations across geriatrics or memory care units.
