Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an On Call Hospice Registered Nurse for a 10-week contract, where your compassionate care and clinical expertise will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives during their final stages. Pay:
$2050-$2150/Wk plus .42 a mile for patient related travel Local and Travel Welcome! Chillicothe, OH 10
Week Contract ON CALL Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-2 AM.
Service Area:
Clinton County Requirements Must have at least 1 year of Hospice experience within the last 3 years as an RN. Solid HCHB charting experience is also required. Duties Provide comprehensive nursing assessments to evaluate patient needs, symptoms, and comfort levels in accordance with hospice protocols. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans that align with patient wishes and clinical requirements. Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom management, and available support resources to enhance quality of life. Respond promptly to urgent patient needs during on-call hours, offering expert guidance and coordinating emergency or additional care as necessary. Document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records following HIPAA regulations. Conduct patient visits in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or home environments while adhering to infection control standards. Requirements Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice. Critical care experience including ICU or Emergency Room settings, with familiarity in hospital medicine and acute care environments. Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation procedures, and discharge planning processes. Demonstrated ability in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, case management, and utilization management practices. Strong background in managing infectious diseases, behavioral health cases, geriatrics, pediatrics (PICU), or post-acute care settings is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
