Job Description

Weekender Position Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels. About the Medical ICU The Medical ICU at UH Cleveland Medical Center is a 20 bed unit. Our unit utilizes leading-edge technologies and evidenced based treatments to ensure our patients are receiving the exceptional care during a very critical time period. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Position Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients. 1 year of RN experience required
Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from accredited program.
License Requirements:
