36 Hours per Week Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Mother Baby, Postpartum, and Couplet Care to join a leading Women's Health and Maternal Newborn team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have recent experience caring for postpartum mothers and newborns, providing family-centered care, breastfeeding support, newborn assessments, patient education, and postpartum recovery management. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mother Baby RN, Postpartum RN, Women's Health RN, or Maternal Newborn Nurse seeking a rewarding travel nursing assignment. Responsibilities Mother Baby & Postpartum Care Assess postpartum mothers following vaginal and cesarean deliveries Monitor fundus, lochia, pain management, and postpartum recovery Recognize and respond to postpartum complications Manage postpartum hemorrhage and high-risk postpartum patients Care for patients with PIH and preeclampsia Administer medications and treatments as ordered Document assessments and interventions accurately IV Therapy & Medication Administration Start and maintain peripheral IV lines Administer blood products when indicated Administer Pitocin (Oxytocin), Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensive medications Monitor medication effectiveness and patient response Collaboration & Patient Safety Collaborate with physicians, providers, and lactation consultants Participate in interdisciplinary care planning Support patient safety and quality initiatives Respond appropriately to emergency situations and rapid response events Required Qualifications Active RN License (State License or Compact License) Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program Minimum 2 Years of Mother Baby RN Experience Recent Postpartum RN Experience Required Couplet Care Experience Required IV Therapy Experience Required EMR/EHR Documentation Experience Required Labor & Delivery Experience Preferred Strong Assessment and Critical Thinking Skills Required Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Schedule Night Shift 3x12-Hour Schedule Every Other Weekend Required 13-Week Assignment Floating May Be Required Benefits Competitive Weekly Pay Travel Nursing Opportunity Guaranteed Hours Extension Opportunities Supportive Clinical Team High-Quality Women's Health Environment Valuable Maternal-Newborn Experience Apply Today!
