Schedule and hours to be determined, contract for a full school year is for 192 days and is hired through the ESC of Central Ohio. School Nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success, and health of students. We encourage all interested applicants to submit completed materials by April 6, 2026.
JOB GOALS
The School Nurse will develop and implement school health policies and procedures to reduce health-related barriers to learning. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining uniform health records and forms, coordinating the administration of medications and treatments, presenting in-service trainings, and supporting the special needs classroom staff.QUALIFICATIONS
Current State of Ohio Registered Nurse license Must obtain Ohio State Board of Education pupil services license for school nurse upon hire Current BCI/FBI background check Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification Bachelors of Nursing preferred but not required Minimum of 5 years experience as a registered nurseREPORTS TO
District Nurse, Building Principal and Director of Student ServicesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work independently and with others Ability to communicate well with staff and community members Ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately Ability to multitaskESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
