ASAP Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (Med Surg), Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity hospital environment providing exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Med Surg Nursing, Telemetry Monitoring, Cardiac Care, Acute Care Nursing, IV Therapy, Dysrhythmia Interpretation, and Patient Assessment . ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Provide direct patient care in Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU settings Perform comprehensive nursing assessments Monitor and evaluate patient conditions Administer medications and treatments per physician orders Interpret telemetry and cardiac monitoring data Manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions Clinical Duties Perform IV starts and IV therapy management Care for central lines, PICC lines, and vascular access devices Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards Documentation & Communication Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR Communicate effectively with providers, pharmacists, therapists, and nursing staff Participate in shift reports and care coordination activities Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Minimum 3 years of Med Surg RN experience Recent Telemetry experience required Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience preferred Epic EMR experience required Strong IV start and vascular access skills Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Previous travel nursing experience preferred Required Certifications BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Preferred) Schedule Night Shift 3x12-Hour Schedule Every Other Weekend Required 36 Guaranteed Hours Weekly Floating to similar units as required by facility Benefits Competitive Weekly Pay Guaranteed Hours Travel Assignment Opportunity Supportive Clinical Environment High-Acuity Hospital Experience Contract Extension Opportunities Dedicated Recruiter Support Apply Today!
