We are seeking a dedicated, high-energy Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pharmacy Management team. This position works 8-5 Monday - Friday and has weekends off and holidays off. This position works directly with our adult clients being treated for severe and persistent behavioral health needs. The RN ensures that all clinical care is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals for clinical outcomes, quality assurance, and patient satisfaction. Working in a fast-paced environment, this role requires an individual who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting and possesses excellent de-escalation skills.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

Productivity & Documentation:

Provide thorough, accurate, and timely electronic clinical documentation of all data, interventions, and patient responses. Documentation must be completed in real-time or immediately following the interaction to meet or exceed agency productivity standards.

Medication Administration:

Safely administer psychotropic and other prescribed medications in accordance with provider orders, protocols, and policies. Maintain a deep, strong working knowledge of the psychotropic drug class and monitor for effectiveness and side effects.

Care Coordination:

Collaborate daily with a multi-disciplinary team (including Psychiatric Prescribers, Nurse Practitioners, ACT Team, and Case Managers) to implement and support each patient's medical, social, and emotional plan of care.

De-escalation:

Maintain a safe, structured behavioral health environment. Because our clientele can occasionally exhibit aggressive or verbally abusive behaviors, the RN must possess robust crisis-intervention and verbal de-escalation skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Patient Education:

Provide direct therapeutic interaction and essential education to patients and families regarding psychiatric diagnoses, medical needs, and medication adherence to maintain clinical stability.

Compliance:

Adhere strictly to the standards of practice, procedures, and policies of Eastway Behavioral Healthcare and applicable regulatory bodies.

Position Requirements:

License:

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. •

Credentialing:

Must possess a current, valid credential to bill Medicaid. Active Medicaid credentialing is a strict requirement for employment.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of RN experience. (psychiatric nursing a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialty Experience:

Previous experience working in Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing is highly preferred.

EHR Proficiency:

Prior direct experience navigating and documenting within the CareLogic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a significant plus.
