Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Travel Discover the charm of Delphos, OH—a welcoming community with rich local culture and easy access to scenic parks and vibrant downtown attractions. As a travel RN, this assignment offers a blend of professional challenge and personal enrichment, providing an opportunity to broaden your experience within a supportive hospital setting renowned for collaborative care and diverse leadership styles. The stepdown medical/telemetry ortho unit serves a varied patient demographic, from orthopedic surgery to trauma, giving you the chance to refine your clinical skills and build a robust, standout resume.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour night shifts Every other weekend and every other holiday 13-week travel assignment
Qualifications:
Current RN license (state or compact) BLS and ACLS certifications required Dysrhythmia exam (study guide provided) Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, particularly within ortho/med-surg/tele Communication skills to foster excellent collaboration and patient rapport Proficiency with surgical drains (Hemovac, JP, True-close) and knowledge of post-op ortho patient mobility
Responsibilities:
Complete ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions Safely manage drips (Heparin, occasional PCA with morphine or Dilaudid), as well as oxygen delivery methods Serve as patient advocate and coordinate care between departments, team nursing with LPNs as needed Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Offer education and emotional support to patients and families navigating recovery from illness, surgery, or trauma Manage care for an adult and geriatric population, adapting to changing patient conditions with confidence and composure
