Job Description

Schedule/Hours:
12-hour night shifts Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Role Overview:
You will serve as a dedicated float pool RN, primarily assigned between PCU (Progressive Care Unit) and MS/Tele (Med-Surg/Telemetry) acuity levels based on real-time staffing needs. This highly adaptive position will hone your clinical and leadership skills as you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage complex patient cases, and participate in high-quality, patient-focused care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care Coordinate and deliver teaching activities for patients and their families Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness with safety as a priority Adapt swiftly to rapidly changing patient conditions and clinical environments Provide compassionate advocacy for patients' needs and choices, collaborating with care teams and support services Utilize and document with
EPIC EHR
Desired Qualifications:
Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) Minimum 1 year of RN experience (2 years strongly preferred); travel experience preferred BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; navy blue scrubs required for shifts Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam (study guide available) Vent experience beneficial but not a must
