Job Description
Surest Path Recovery Center is an inpatient substance abuse Withdrawal Management (a.k.a Detox) and residential treatment provider for Men and Women. We are currently seeking a full time RN- Nights to work in our inpatient detox unit. This position is responsible for the medical management of all residential patients, including ensuring compliance with all established standards, policies and procedures. This individual must be awake, alert, and attentive to meet the significant needs of our patient population. Essential duties include but are not limited to: Review files of any admissions from previous shift with attention to any medical issues, medical documentation, and ensure appropriate follow-up. Complete vital signs on all patients as policy and prudent judgment indicates. Observe, detect, and monitor symptoms of withdrawal, providing patient reassurance and support, ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation in patient files and Shift Report. This will include observation for physiological withdrawal symptoms including seizures and convulsions. Provide medications as indicated by completed eMAR's, and ensure appropriate documentation. Document medical information appropriately in patient records and shift report according to established policies Educate the patient about his/her condition and give accurate clinical reporting of patient conditions, status and proper clinical actions Provide assistance to incoming shift, ensuring all pertinent medical information is given. Review files of all patients discharged to ensure compliance with established protocols, medical policies and procedures, and files are appropriately documented. Contact Medical Services Manager or Medical Director as appropriates for reviews of medications for approval, or other issues requiring medical consultation or direction. Ensure appropriate referral services for patients/applicants to a hospital for necessary medical services, as prudently indicated.
Requirements:
A current Ohio RN license 1-2 years experience preferred Must have a working knowledge of Chemical Dependency; and a want to help others improve their livesJob Type:
