Infection Control / Staff Educator Nurse The Village at Marymount - Garfield Heights, OH We are seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Infection Control / Staff Educator Nurse to support our commitment to resident safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence at The Village at Marymount. This dual-role position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in education, quality improvement, and infection prevention. About the Role As an Infection Control / Staff Educator Nurse, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring our facility maintains the highest standards of infection prevention and staff competency. You will oversee infection control practices, conduct surveillance, provide staff education, and support ongoing quality initiatives across the campus. Your work directly impacts resident outcomes, survey readiness, and the professional development of our clinical team. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the facility's Infection Prevention & Control Program Conduct routine infection surveillance, audits, and reporting Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and state infection control regulations Lead outbreak management, mitigation strategies, and staff communication Develop, coordinate, and deliver staff education and competency training Support onboarding and orientation for new clinical staff Collaborate with Nursing Leadership, QA, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate documentation, policies, and regulatory readiness Promote a culture of safety, prevention, and continuous improvement Qualifications Current Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing Infection Control experience preferred (IP certification a plus but not required) Strong teaching, communication, and leadership skills Skilled nursing/long-term care experience strongly preferred Ability to organize, educate, and motivate staff Knowledge of infection control standards, PPE use, and regulatory guidelines What We Offer Competitive compensation Supportive leadership and a collaborative work environment Opportunities for professional development and certification A mission-driven culture focused on quality care and resident safety The chance to make a meaningful impact across the entire facility Apply Today If you are passionate about infection prevention, staff development, and elevating clinical excellence, we invite you to join our team at The Village at Marymount.
