Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Contract Step into a vital role within a 19-bed Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit, where you will care for patients experiencing acute stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, and complex post-surgical conditions. This specialized ICU environment demands sharp clinical skills and the ability to provide constant neurological assessment and monitoring. You'll work with advanced tools—including invasive intracranial pressure monitoring and continuous hemodynamic support—while collaborating with an expert clinical team.
Schedule:
Straight weekend block: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
Key Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse license Confirmed experience in a Neuro ICU setting Proven expertise in managing acute neurologic emergencies and critically ill post-surgical patients Proficiency in performing and monitoring invasive procedures (ICP monitoring, hemodynamic management) Adaptable to floating to other ICUs or step-down units as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, critical care to neuro ICU patients, coordinating complex care plans Perform frequent, detailed neurological and physical assessments Administer medications and therapies required for acute neurocritical care Closely monitor and interpret invasive intracranial and hemodynamic data Communicate patient changes clearly to the multidisciplinary team Safeguard patient safety during advanced imaging and procedures (CT, MRI, Angio) Educate patients and families on care expectations and recovery processes
