Overview We are seeking a highly skilled RN Trainer for Medication Administration Certification to join our team. This vital role involves developing and delivering training programs that ensure nursing staff and caregivers are proficient in medication administration protocols, compliance standards, and patient safety practices. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing experience across various healthcare settings and a passion for education and professional development. Duties Design, implement, and evaluate medication administration training programs tailored to diverse healthcare environments, including nursing homes, hospitals, and home care settings. Conduct comprehensive training sessions on medical documentation, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and best practices. Assess trainee competency through practical demonstrations and written evaluations, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement. Stay current with evolving regulations related to medication safety, patient care standards, and healthcare policies to incorporate into training curricula. Collaborate with clinical leadership to identify training needs based on staff performance and regulatory updates. Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications awarded, and trainee progress in accordance with medical records management standards. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages engagement, questions, and professional growth among participants. Experience Extensive nursing background with experience working with Developmental Disabilities or acute care settings; experience preferred. Prior experience working in nursing homes or home care environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in teaching or training within healthcare settings, including adult education methodologies. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures relevant to medication administration. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards essential for maintaining confidentiality and compliance. Experience working in pediatric or specialized care environments such as pediatrics or rehabilitation units is a plus. Proven ability to develop engaging educational content tailored to adult learners while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
