Working as a travel RN in the Intermediate Telemetry (Stepdown) Unit, you'll care for cardiac, respiratory, renal, post-op, and stepdown ICU patients within a collaborative, supportive healthcare environment. Embrace 13 weeks of skill-building, connection, and discovery while making the most of your time off exploring local attractions, historic sites, and outdoor adventures in beautiful eastern Ohio.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week assignment Patient ratio: 1:4 Day and night PCA support
Qualifications:
Active RN license—eligible for practice in Ohio (or compact license) At least one year of RN experience (required), with six months in acute care (preferred) BLS and ACLS certifications Willingness to complete a dysrhythmia exam (study guide available) EPIC EHR and critical care course completion (preferred) Strong communication, adaptability, and patient advocacy skills Experience with cardiac drips, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced respiratory modalities favored
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans Administer medications and manage drips (including titrations) Interpret and sign telemetry strips; collaborate with tele techs and phlebotomy Provide interdisciplinary care coordination, education, and support to patients and families React swiftly to complex health changes and serve as a patient safety advocate Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for patients with multi-system needs
