Vice President of Hospice Operations The Mission The Hospice Community Liaison is the bridge between our care team and the community. Your goal is to ensure that no patient or family faces the end-of-life journey alone because they didn't know help was available. This isn't just "sales"—it is about building trust, educating healthcare providers, and advocating for the dignity and comfort that hospice care provides. You will be responsible for growing our census by forming deep, lasting relationships with medical professionals and community leaders.Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth:
Develop and execute a territory marketing plan to meet and exceed monthly referral and admission goals.Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong partnerships with hospital discharge planners, physicians, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and assisted living communities.Clinical Education:
Conduct formal and informal educational presentations for healthcare professionals and the public regarding the benefits of timely hospice and palliative care.Initial Advocacy:
Meet with prospective patients and families to explain hospice services, answer difficult questions with empathy, and facilitate a smooth transition into our care.Market Analysis:
Monitor local healthcare trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for community outreach.Qualifications & Skills Experience:
[2-5] years of experience in healthcare sales, marketing, or business development. (Direct experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Senior Living is highly preferred).Communication:
Mastery of "the soft sell." You must be able to discuss end-of-life care with grace, professionalism, and persuasive clarity.Drive:
A self-motivated mentality balanced with a "caregiver" heart. You are comfortable working independently in the field.Connectivity:
An existing network of healthcare professional contacts in the Cleveland Market is a significant advantage.Mobility:
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record for daily travel within the assigned territory.
