Job Description

About the Role We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Oncology Nurse to provide patient-centered care for individuals undergoing cancer treatment in both outpatient and inpatient settings. In this role, you will administer chemotherapy, support symptom management, and guide patients and families through complex treatment plans. Your expertise in oncology nursing will directly enhance safety, comfort, and quality of care for patients facing life-altering diagnoses. What You'll Do Oncology Nursing & Treatment Support
  • Administer chemotherapy, blood products, injections, and supportive treatments safely and accurately
  • Assess patients for treatment readiness and report abnormal findings to the oncologist
  • Anticipate chemotherapy complications and intervene to minimize risks
  • Document patient care and scan required information into the electronic medical record Patient Education & Experience
  • Provide education to new chemotherapy patients and reinforce ongoing learning needs
  • Support patients and families with symptom management and care planning
  • Assist with referrals to PT/OT, dietitians, palliative care, and hospice services Clinical Collaboration & Care Coordination
  • Partner with physicians as a nurse partner to support continuity of care
  • Participate in care planning tailored to individual patient needs
  • Communicate lab results, concerns, and symptom changes promptly to the oncology team Systems & Administration
  • Schedule chemotherapy and follow-up visits in the Cerner electronic medical record
  • Verify chemotherapy orders for accuracy, dose, route, and schedule

Work Environment This is a 100% onsite position at our Port Clinton, OH facility Apply Today!
