Schedule/Hours:
Day Shift:
Monday-Friday, 6:30a-3:00p (8-hour preferred) or 6:30a-5:00p (10-hour) Shift start may be as early as 5:30a depending on surgical caseloadOn-call:
On a six-week rotation, approximately 10-12 call shifts (1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends) 30-minute call response; call rooms availableKey Qualifications:
Current RN license (active and in good standing, or compact state) BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications (PALS, CNOR, and SGNA preferred) At least 2 years of CVOR/cardiac OR nursing experience and 1-2 years of general surgical experience Dysrhythmia Exam (support provided) Previous travel assignment experience preferred Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in a surgical environment Adept at adapting to fast-paced, high-acuity situations and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsResponsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care using the nursing process Circulate CVOR and general procedures, including CABG, TAVRs, VATs, windows, and open general surgeries Operate equipment, anticipate surgical team needs, maintain sterile field, and keep accurate records Collaborate across departments for optimal patient outcomes Participate in ongoing quality improvement, teaching, and professional development initiativesBenefits and Perks:
