Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Contract Deliver expert care in a dynamic Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit, working with patients experiencing acute strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, and post-surgical needs. Located in a modern 19-bed unit, you'll handle invasive intracranial pressure monitoring, frequent neurological assessments, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and coordinate routine CT, MRI, and angiography procedures. This is a straight Weekend Block position, providing night coverage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Patient assignments typically range from 2 to 3, ensuring focused and effective care.
Schedule:
Straight weekend block: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
Qualifications:
Current, active RN license Proven experience in a Neuro ICU setting required Familiarity with invasive intracranial pressure monitoring devices Skilled in performing frequent, detailed neurological assessments Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and management Ability to work collaboratively and, when needed, float to other ICU/Step-down units Up-to-date BLS and ACLS certifications preferred Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized nursing care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including acute stroke and post-neurosurgical interventions Monitor and respond to rapid neurological changes, implementing physician orders Operate and troubleshoot ICP monitors and other critical care equipment Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage diagnostics such as CT, MRI, and angiography Complete thorough and timely patient assessments at regular intervals Provide compassionate support to patients and their families throughout the care process Adhere to rigorous safety and infection control standards If you are committed to delivering exceptional Neuro ICU care and thrive in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment, this weekend night opportunity is designed for you. to take on this rewarding role and make a difference in critical care nursing!
