Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and coordinates nursing care for patients undergoing Radiology procedures with consideration of their specific needs. Works closely with Radiologists to provide conscious sedation and the associated care to Radiology patients. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care professions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Indicate minimum required to qualify or perform this job.) 1. Demonstrates clinical competency in caring for patients as identified in unit's Scope of Care. Demonstrates competency in the care of the patient in the following stages of the life cycle: infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. 2. Effectively responds to customer service needs. a. Demonstrates effective age and culturally appropriate interaction with patients, families, and other members of the health care team. b. Adheres to UTMC's Customer Service values. c. Seeks out ways to assist patients and co-workers. 3. Actively participates in performance improvement activities as related to job duties.
Required Education/Experience/Licensing:
Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Ohio, required. BLS and ACLS certification, required. Current sedation/analgesia competence, required. Minimum 5 years intensive critical care environment, required. Minimum 3 years nursing experience in a procedural environment, required. 1. Demonstrates clinical competency in caring for patients as identified in unit's Scope of Care. Demonstrates competency in the care of the patient in the following stages of the life cycle: infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. 2. Effectively responds to customer service needs. a. Demonstrates effective age and culturally appropriate interaction with patients, families, and other members of the health care team. b. Adheres to UTMC's Customer Service values and iCare Standards. c. Seeks out ways to assist patients and co-workers. 3. Actively participates in performance improvement activities as related to job duties.
