Stepping into the MS/Tele Ortho Unit (7K), you'll collaborate with seasoned staff and encounter a diverse patient population, ranging from orthopedic surgical recoveries to complex medical cases. The unit's fast-paced environment will allow you to refine your clinical skills, adapt to a variety of care protocols, and learn from a team with a collaborative leadership philosophy.

Schedule & Contract:

12-hour PM shifts Every other weekend & every other holiday required 13-week assignment

Desired Qualifications:

2+ years of recent RN experience in medical/surgical or telemetry settings BLS and ACLS certifications required Proficiency in post-op care for backs, hips, knees, with surgical drain/line knowledge Strong communication skills and ability to work cohesively with multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with Alaris pumps, hercules beds, and typical orthopedic medical equipment Dysrhythmia exam completion required (study guide available) Current RN licensure, compact eligible Experience with patient assessment, care planning, and teaching

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care utilizing the nursing process for adult and geriatric patients Collaborate with clinical leads and participate in ongoing quality improvement Manage and monitor hemodynamic status, administer medications, and oversee drains/tubes as appropriate Chart effectively using EPIC (experience a plus) Actively contribute to patient and family education and care coordination
