Description Cardiac Rehab•Registered Nurse (RN)
Department:
Nursing•
Cardiac Rehab Status Hours:
Part-time, 16 hours bi-weekly
Shift:
7:00 AM•3:30 PM (Department hours of operation are from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM)•
Job Summary:
The Cardiac Rehab RN collaborates closely with the RN Team Lead to develop and deliver individualized care plans for patients in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. You will supervise exercise sessions, monitor patients' progress, and serve as a resource to educate and inspire healthy lifestyle changes.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and evaluate patient progress during exercise and rehab sessions Interpret cardiac rhythm strips and respond appropriately to changes Provide patient and community education on cardiovascular and pulmonary wellness Collaborate with physicians and ancillary services to support patient care Assist with data reporting to AACVPR and ongoing performance improvement Support community outreach initiatives such as educational sessions and health fairs Cross-train to support Heart & Vascular Center services including cardiac stress testing and Holter monitor application•Requirements Current RN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing Current BLS and ACLS certification Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology Proficient in interpreting cardiac rhythm strips Excellent communication, professional conduct, and interpersonal skills Must be physically capable of assisting patients, performing CPR, and navigating hospital environments safely
