Job Description

Summary :
Provides care for children, 0•4 years of age during Sunday morning worship.
Age:
Minimum of 18 yrs. old.
Reports to:
Minister and SPRC Work hours : 9:45 a.m•11:15 a.m.
Compensation :
$15.00 per hour. Pay schedule is on the 30th of each month. You must clock in & out on Sunday morning. Time clock is located in the BUMP downstairs kitchen. Timecards must be turned in to receive compensation. 1. Greets family warmly and learns child's name. 2. Ask caregiver to sign their child in. 3. Keep records•attendance, basic information about each child. 4. Requests the parent's cell phone numbers. 5. Develop age appropriate activities. 6. Leave the nursery in good condition. 7. Monitor the well being of children in care at all times. 8. Arrange for acceptable substitutes in case of necessary absence. 9. Knows and follows BUMC child protection policy.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with volunteer on Preschool Sundays in lieu of nursery/childcare. Offer space and supply recommendations as needed. • A background check is required from Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI).
Personality:
Must be willing to support the mission and ministry of Boardman United Methodist Church. Must be polite and pleasant in working with church volunteers and foster a safe, welcoming atmosphere for the children in our care. Professional competency : Must be knowledgeable of state and church sanitary regulations and the Child Protection Policy. Must be certified in basic first Aid and CPR.
Experience:
Proven competence as above. Probationary period•The first ninety days of employment are considered a mutual probationary period. •Refer to the Staff Handbook for further policies, benefits and conditions. Time off is limited to no more than one Sunday off a month with exceptions for illness.

From $15.00 per hour
