Position Summary The Pre/Post-Operative Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to individuals undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring safe preparation prior to surgery and effective recovery following anesthesia. This role is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and educating patients while collaborating with the surgical and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care. The RN plays a critical role in promoting patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes throughout the perioperative experience. This position supports efficient surgical operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.

Adhere to all hospital policy and procedure, follow HIPAA guidelines, available for duty in the event of a disaster, completes all required educational training and performs other job duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking throughout clinical areas for extended periods. Ability to assist with lifting, repositioning, transferring, or supporting patients. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling while performing clinical tasks. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate medical equipment, and document care. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
