Job Description
Description of Work:
Provides professional nursing care to the agency's home care clients/consumers as prescribed by the physician, plan of care, and in compliance with the State Registered Nurse Practice Act and the agency polices and procedures. May also provide professional nursing services in an institutional setting within the policies and procedures of that institution and the payer sources. Enforces and maintains agency philosophy, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Must be flexible and able to adjust to frequently changing tasks. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse under the laws of the state of Oklahoma. Experience in home health preferred, but not required. Must have valid driver's license.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides home health clients/consumers with skilled nursing care or services within the established plan of care. Assess client's/consumer's physical, psychological, social and environmental status. Evaluates client's home situations to determine appropriate health teaching information. Teaches, supervises and counsels clients/consumers regarding care needs and related problems. Obtain and document verbal and/or written Physician's orders.
