Full Job Description Contract Overview Position:
Temp Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health (Adult Psych Unit)

Weeks Schedule:
12-Hour Nights (36 hours per week guaranteed)

On-Call Requirements:
None Candidate RequirementsExperience & Certifications Psych Experience:
Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience is strictly required .
Traveler Experience:
Recent travel nursing experience is preferred.
Training:
De-escalation training is highly preferred.
License:
Active Oklahoma RN State License.
Required Certifications:
BLS (American Heart Association) NIH Stroke Scale Therapeutic Options certification (must be kept up to date)
Background Restrictions Former Employees:
Former direct employees of the hospital system are not eligible to return through an agency until 6 months after their permanent employment ended. Key Job Responsibilities On the Adult Psych Unit, your day-to-day will involve clinical oversight, patient education, and leadership for the floor support staff:
Care Planning:
Contributing to the formulation of patient care plans and attending weekly clinical staffing meetings to review treatment progress.
Education:
Directly managing medication education for patients and families, and leading scheduled educational groups on the unit schedule.
Staff Training:
Training LPNs and Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) in accurate charting, unit routines, vital signs, and crisis de-escalation techniques.
Documentation:
Ensuring all emotional and mental observations are reported to medical staff and documented precisely in patient charts.
Unit Culture:
Active participation in a Performance Improvement (PI) team or unit task force, while acting as a positive role model in language, dress, and behavior.
Orientation:
Nursing travelers specifically start orientation on Thursdays .
Pay:
Up to $2,182.00 per week
