Registered Nurse CVCU Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse CVCU will be responsible for providing patient care services in the Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit (CVCU) of our hospital in Lawton, OK. The successful candidate will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to the standard set by the American Nurses Association and our hospital's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitor, assess, and document patient's conditions and response to treatments. Administer medications, IV therapy, and other critical care interventions. Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement care plans. Assist with patient care procedures, such as intubation, ventilation, and hemodynamic monitoring. Educate patients and their families on disease management, self-care, and lifestyle changes. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care, preferably in a Cardiovascular Unit. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, and vasoactive drugs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
