$2,808 RN Labor & Delivery Job Description Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assist with deliveries, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed Assist physicians with labor, delivery, and emergency obstetric procedures Provide patient education and emotional support to mothers and families Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and fetal heart tracings Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards
Requirements:
Active RN License required Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required Strong fetal monitoring, maternal assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment RN01 How to
