Immediately Job Description 2026-2027 School YearQUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma; Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment; Demonstrates positive attitude toward school environment. Current CPR or First Aid Certification or willing to gain certification. Preferred medical knowledge or experience.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administers first aid and medication to students according to district policy and procedures. 2. Assists and participates in the implementation of the communicable disease program and screenings. 3. Communicates effectively with school nurse, staff and parents regarding health care needs and concerns for the purpose of referring students in need of further treatment. 4. Follows medical emergency plans and maintains health records for the purpose of providing information required by legal and professional standards. 5. Performs record keeping and clerical functions under strict confidentiality for the purpose of supporting the health services staff. 6. Performs specialized treatments as delegated by appropriate personnel monitored and evaluated by school nurse. 7. Supervises students referred for illness and/or injury for the purpose of monitoring their care and maintaining order in the health room. 8. Follows all medical procedures as trained by school nurse. 9. Abides by all district, state and federal laws, policies and procedures. 10. Performs other tasks and health related duties as assigned by supervisor.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to routinely and continually bend, squat, stand, walk, or climb stairs. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to operate computers, copy machine, and other office machines as needed.Position Type:
