Job Description

Are you a Registered Nurse who thrives in labor and delivery? We are looking for an RN to join our night time staff in our beautiful NEW Women's Health Center. Our Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses are true patient advocates who incorporate evidence-based practice into their daily care. The right candidate will be a great collaborator who is calm under pressure and approaches care with precision and attention to detail. JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct patient care on the Maternal Child Health Unit through assessments and individualized patient care. Communicates changes related to the patient's clinical status with provider. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition or responses to treatment. Performs general nursing duties with adequate supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma Current CPR card or completion within 30 days of employment Current ACLS and NRP card or completion of course within 1 year of hire Ability to communicate effectively and function appropriately in stressful situations Possesses basic computer skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations Demonstrates adequate vision or correctable with glasses to read and write Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: insert catheters, start IV's, administer medications, and handle instruments)
