Job Description

Part-Time, Regular position under Nursing Administration| This position has the potential to work on one of our 24-hour units, or at an outlying clinic, on an as-needed basis | Guaranteed a minimum of 32 hours each week |
Schedule:
Could work weekend, weekday, or weeknight shifts, as needed |
Pay:
PG12, Hourly Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Nurse Staff RN renders professional nursing services in the treatment and care of assigned patients. You will provide for the comfort and well-being of patients by assessing condition, providing treatments, and documenting progress and other observations. You will report to the Manager.
Primary Tasks:
1. Provide direct patient assessment and planning for individualized patient care. 2. Communicate with physicians about changes in patient's condition. 3. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. 4. Formulate individualized plan of care. 5. Revise individualized plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment; evaluate overall plan for effectiveness daily. 6. Evaluate discharge needs and coordinate with multi-health care disciplines in planning for care after discharge. 7. Assess pain management techniques and educate the patient and family regarding pain management. 8. Identify and address psychosocial needs of patient and family. 9. Administer drugs, blood, and solutions according to medical and surgical policies and protocols. 10. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree in nursing
  • Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing
  • Current CPR certification Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing (or Multi-State Nursing License) Current CPR certification required Good customer service skills General computer and office skillsProvide direct patient, assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
Communicate with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including chest pain and changes in vital signs and results of diagnostic studies. You will respond quickly to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment. Create an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness. Evaluate discharge needs, and coordinate with multi-health care disciplines in planning for care after discharge. Assess and reassess pain management techniques used. Educate the patient and family regarding pain management. You will identify and address psychosocial needs of patient and family. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
