4 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Cardiac Telemetry position at a Level I trauma center, requiring at least 1 year of experience and the ability to float between cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments. Details 28-bed cardiac telemetry units providing care for all cardiac needs, including post-op care Patient population spans all ages at a Level I trauma center Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6 Unit is supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients Required to float between cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments Day shift: 06:30-19:00 Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period required Holiday coverage required based on departmental need Requirements Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address Additional Information Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols Responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient condition as appropriate Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care Carries out physician and nursing orders and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team Nurses work collaboratively in teams with PCT and unit secretary support Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment are essential Standard precautions and appropriate PPE must be followed at all times Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate — contact your recruiter for details Driver's license copy required for consideration Two professional references required for consideration Skills checklist required for consideration COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
