Key Qualifications:

Active state nursing license in good standing Successful completion of an accredited nursing program Previous experience in perioperative, operating room, or surgical nursing (ORT) required Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Strong ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical settings Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Commitment to maintaining safety, confidentiality, and compliance standards

Responsibilities:

Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are properly managed and accounted for Support surgeons and surgical team members throughout all phases of surgery Monitor patient status and respond quickly to emergent situations Prepare and maintain a sterile field and operating room environment Communicate updates to interdisciplinary team members as needed Document surgical procedures, care provided, and relevant observations in patient records Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety protocols
