Registered Nurse/RN - Retirement Community

Jennings McCall Center is hiring a part time RN to provide our assisted living residents with daily care and we would like to hear from you! RN license required. Previous experience working in long-term care a plus. This is a part time/on call position. Job responsibilities included, but our not limited to: Supervises, plans, coordinates and directs the work of the Medication Aides. Assist with staffing decisions including training, performance evaluation input, safety awareness/training and retention of assigned personnel. Mentor and support the Medication Aides in the delivery of medications to residents. To sufficiently provide consultation on Residents' medical needs To adequately respond to emergencies as needed To perform initial evaluations of Residents as needed. Perform periodic monitoring of Resident's health and wellness in coordination with assessments To delegate special tasks of nursing to medication aides when appropriate with follow-up & evaluation Coordination of provision of health services with outside providers, i.e. hospice, physician, home health agencies, physical/occupational therapy, mental health/discharge planner Oversee and review medication & medication management system, including: upon move-in, med errors, drug regimens, med changes and orders Review and update doctor orders (180 days) Assist as needed with Residents' service plans Oversee all record keeping for the department requirements in conjunctions with SPC'S, Administrator, and Health Services staff Assist as requested with in-service trainings for the department employees. Acts as a liaison between the Residents and the Administrator.
