Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Local & Travel Opportunities Available Schedule:
3x12s Days | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Call Rotation Included Are you an experienced OR RN looking for a supportive surgical team, work-life balance, and the opportunity to make a real impact in patient care? We are seeking compassionate and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurses to join our growing perioperative team. Local candidates and travelers are encouraged to apply! What You'll Do As an OR RN, you will play a vital role throughout the intraoperative surgical experience, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide variety of surgical populations. You will serve as a patient advocate while working alongside surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment Monitor and protect patients throughout the operative experience Perform surgical counts and implement patient safety protocols Ensure correct patient, procedure, site, and surgical level verification Administer medications safely and accurately Manage specimens according to organizational policies Collaborate effectively with the surgical and interdisciplinary care team Communicate patient status throughout the continuum of care Document care accurately and thoroughly Support infection prevention and quality initiatives Advocate for patient rights, dignity, privacy, and culturally competent care Participate in on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit Why You'll Love This Opportunity Flexible opportunity for both local and travel nurses 3×12-hour day shifts offering excellent work-life balance Collaborative and highly skilled perioperative team Diverse surgical cases and opportunities to expand your OR experience Supportive leadership and team-oriented culture Opportunity for professional growth and specialty development Work in an environment committed to patient safety and excellence Qualifications Required Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) Active RN license in the State of Oregon Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications Ability to work independently while remaining adaptable in a fast-paced surgical environment Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Previous OR Circulator experience Scrub experience Peri-op 101 completion CNOR certification
