$135K - $140K+ per year We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate (PA) to join our cardiology team. In this collaborative role, the provider will work directly with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with cardiovascular conditions. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, assist in the management of cardiovascular disease, contribute to diagnostic evaluations, provide patient education on disease prevention and management including lifestyle changes. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical examinations and cardiovascular assessments for new and follow-up patients Manage chronic conditions including heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and hypertension Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as 12-lead EKGs, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests Educate patients and families on disease pathology, medication adherence, and surgical recovery Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications including heart-healthy nutrition, exercise, and smoking cessation Coordinate care transitions between inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and primary care providers Document patient encounters accurately within the electronic health record system for billing and continuity Triage urgent patient concerns and facilitate emergency admissions or interventions when necessary Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss complex patient cases and optimize clinical outcomes Assist in the performance of minor clinical procedures as permitted by state law and facility credentialing Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (required) Current NP or PA licensure (required) Board certification or board eligibility (required) Comfort with and interest in practicing in a rural community setting Compensation & Benefits Very competitive total compensation opportunity ($140+) which includes: o Quality incentives up to $13,000 o RVU bonus based on annual threshold Commencement bonus of $20,000 $8,000 annual CME, licensing, dues, subscription + paid CME time Student loan repayment Hospital employed Full benefits including a 401k match & Paid malpracticeSimilar remote jobs
