RN - Labor & Delivery PeaceHealth - 3.3 Springfield, OR Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Continuing education credits 403(b) matching Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance 403(b) Qualifications Nursing policy compliance Patient resuscitation Computer operation Labor & delivery RN License BLS Certification Basic life support Women's health and reproductive patient care Computer skills Patient interaction Full Job Description Description Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required Three years L&D RN experience within the last 10 years required Labor & Delivery or postpartum acute care CNA experience, 30 CEUs in perinatal nursing within the last year, 200 hours perinatal clinical experience within the last two years and/or a formal perinatal training program within the last two years may substitute for some of all of this requirement OR (for RN Residents) successful completion of an approved training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
Credentials Required:
State of Oregon nursing license

Basic Life Support Required within 6 months of hire: ACLS, NRP and
AWHONN EFM

Labor & Delivery:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months. Electronic Fetal Monitoring AWHONN (EFM) required within 6 months. Working Conditions Lifting Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH). Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
Push/Pull:
Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (i.e., WOW, medical carts). Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally. Ability to move around area with frequent sitting. Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently. Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently. Environmental Conditions Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment. Mental/Visual Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
