This position plays a vital role in providing safe, high-quality patient care during outpatient interventional pain procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, clinically skilled, and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences in a fast-paced private practice setting. Essential Responsibilities Assess and prepare patients for procedures requiring moderate (conscious) sedation. Administer and monitor conscious sedation medications under physician direction and in accordance with state and federal regulations. Continuously monitor patient vital signs, airway status, and overall condition before, during, and after procedures. Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies. Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure patient education. Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation within the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and accreditation standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education activities. Assist with IV placement, medication administration, and recovery room monitoring. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe. Certification in conscious sedation (We will provide training option upon hire) Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills. Excellent communication and patient education abilities. Preferred Previous experience with conscious sedation, procedural nursing, PACU, ICU, Emergency Department, Surgery Center, or Interventional Pain Management. Experience starting IVs and managing procedural sedation patients. Familiarity with electronic medical records.
