Knowledge, skills, abilities: Must possess a current Pennsylvania License as a Registered Nurse or temporary practice permit for pending Registered Nurse licensure. Must obtain training certificate for nonviolent crisis intervention within 90 days of employment (training offered on-site). One year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferred. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for assessing, planning, supervising, and evaluating all nursing care of the patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care, the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care, and nursing policies. The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating work within the unit as well as with other units and departments, responding to requests from physicians, patients and families, and providing nursing staff leadership.
