Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Shape a meaningful summer experience as a dedicated School Nurse, working closely with students and staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment during the summer session. In this engaging onsite contract position, you'll contribute your expertise each Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, supporting student wellness and addressing immediate health needs.
What You'll Do:
Assess and respond to student illnesses and injuries, providing timely first aid and health care Deliver preventive health services to foster students' physical, emotional, and social development Educate students, staff, and families on relevant health topics as needed Maintain accurate and confidential health records following established protocols Collaborate with parents/guardians and communicate effectively about student health issues Help implement the school's overall health program and promote a positive, safe school environment
Desired Skills & Experience:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Pennsylvania Certification as an Educational Specialist by the Pennsylvania Department of Education BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is preferred Valid Red Cross CPR and First Aid Instructor certifications At least three to five years of nursing experience, ideally with pediatrics and/or school health Physical capability to stand, sit, bend, and lift 10-25 pounds; able to move independently throughout school facilities Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage compassionately and professionally with students and families This short-term opportunity is perfect for those who are committed to student well-being and ready to make a lasting impact within a vibrant educational setting.
