Join the Camp Marple Team! Best M-F Summer Day Camp in Delaware County Overview Join our dynamic summer team as a Summer Day Camp Nurse, where your expertise in pediatric and adolescent health will ensure a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children participating in our seasonal day camp programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your nursing skills in a lively setting, providing essential health services, emergency response, and health education to young campers. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining health standards, managing minor injuries or illnesses, and supporting staff and families with compassionate care. If you thrive in energetic environments and are passionate about youth wellness, this is the perfect role for you! Fixed hours of 9am - 330pm M-F June 15th - August 28th Responsibilities Manage medication administration for campers with prescribed medications, ensuring proper documentation and storage. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Collaborate with camp staff to implement health policies, safety procedures, and emergency response plans. Educate campers on health topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and injury prevention . Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper health status and any incidents requiring attention. Administer first aid and emergency care for minor injuries or illnesses following established protocols. Skills Strong background in pediatric care Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, vital signs monitoring, and medical terminology essential for effective patient care. Ability to respond swiftly to emergencies Excellent communication skills .
