Responsibilities include:
Delivering comprehensive support to students medically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings Offering attentive, individualized assistance as directed by teachers and school staff Aiding students with medical needs, daily routines, transitions, and full classroom participation Assisting with mobility, supervision, and, when needed, personal care tasks Ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students To be eligible for these on-call assignments, applicants must meet standard school compliance requirements: Hold an active RN license Have at least a high school diploma or GED Be at least 18 years of age Provide TB test results (as required) and verify ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting Provide required clearances or be willing to obtain them before starting Preferred candidates have experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings. Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is highly valued. Additional skills such as CPR, G-Tube, or Trach experience are a plus but not mandatory. Dependability, patience, and a collaborative mindset are essential.
