Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) Full-Time | Day Shift 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Erie, PA 36 hours/week + rotating weekends What Makes Correctional Nursing Different? No two shifts are the same. You'll use your clinical judgment, assessment skills, and compassion to care for patients in a fast-paced correctional setting — where nurses play a critical role in both healthcare and safety. This isn't assembly-line nursing. It's hands-on, independent, and meaningful work. What You'll Be Doing ✔ Conduct intake assessments and obtain health histories upon admission ✔ Provide holistic nursing care addressing physical, psychological, and social needs ✔ Develop and implement individualized care plans alongside healthcare providers ✔ Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately ✔ Perform diagnostic procedures including EKGs and physician-ordered testing ✔ Assist with medical and minor surgical procedures when needed ✔ Document care and triage decisions using electronic medical records ✔ Help ensure continuity of care during custody and discharge transitions What You Bring Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Current CPR certification Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills Ability to pass Level 2 background clearance and drug screening Why Nurses Choose This Role Consistent full-time schedule High-impact patient care Opportunity to strengthen assessment and emergency-response skills Team-focused environment A nursing role where your judgment and leadership truly matter Ready for a nursing role that challenges you, grows your skills, and lets you make a real impact?
